Setting Up an Incident Command Center  

Presenter: Scott Heller | Albany Med Health System

An Incident Command, or Emergency Operations Center, is an essential part of Emergency Preparedness and provides organizations with a venue for centralized coordination and control, and enhanced decision making, communication, resource management, and collaboration.  This is accomplished through the establishment of essential roles and the responsibilities assigned to each role, and develops prioritized operational strategies, among other things.  This program will provide information and lessons-learned in the development and implementation of an emergency operations center.


Target Audience

Administrators, Executive Directors, Nursing Staff, and other Interdisciplinary Team Members. 

CEUs

1.5 CEUs is available for ALAs and LNHAs.

One day prior to the session, all registrants will be emailed:

  • Handouts for the presentation, including a credit and evaluation form for CEUs.

PLEASE NOTE: Cost is per connection. Multiple participants may listen in on one connection at the cost of one registration. Multiple lines from the same facility will be invoiced an additional registration fee.
